As the chief executive officer of Virtual Bridges, Sam Cece is responsible for guiding the company’s overall strategy to ensure rapid growth. Sam is a proven technology leader with a strong track record of establishing operational excellence and creating shareholder value. Prior to joining Virtual Bridges, he served as CEO of StrongMail, leading the company’s transformation from an innovative email infrastructure company to a full-service, top-tier provider of email marketing and social media solutions for Fortune 2000 companies. His career spans more than two decades during which he held a number of senior management positions at BEA Systems pre-IPO, including President of the Global Services Division; Vice President and General Manager of BEA’s WebXpress Division (WebLogic) and Vice President of Worldwide Marketing.
As chief financial officer, Dirk Luthro leads global financial operations for the company, including planning, financial reporting, accounting, human resources and operations. Dirk was most recently CFO of Alereon, a fabless semiconductor company where he was responsible for all finance, accounting, HR, IT, legal, facilities and administration. Throughout his career, Dirk has been directly involved in venture fundraising, complex global financial reporting, M&A, overseas expansions, and managing Wall Street relationships. He has served in key financial roles for several companies including Applied Science Fiction and Intel, and has deep experience across both hardware and software industries. Dirk holds an MBA from the University of Texas and a Bachelor of Science in business management from the University of Florida.
As the chief strategy officer of Virtual Bridges, Jon Senger is responsible for shaping the company’s vision, identifying new market opportunities and enhancing the company’s competitive position. An expert technologist, Jon joins Virtual Bridges after spending the last six years at Dell where he served as an enterprise architect and core engineering lead, and finally leaving the company as the CTO of Emerging Technologies where he worked in the office of the CIO developing innovative strategies to support the company’s cloud computing, virtualization and BYOD programs. In this role, Jon introduced a primary compute BYOD solution as well as various mobile productivity solutions, designed and deployed the OpenStack private cloud within Dell IT, and led numerous corporate development activities. Before joining Dell, Jon spent several years as the manager of systems administration at Chase Paymentech and a systems engineer at Qwest Communications.
As the vice president of worldwide sales at Virtual Bridges, Mike LaPeters is responsible for the company’s overall sales strategy and leading the worldwide execution of both direct and indirect sales. Mike brings with him 16 years of experience in building and leading sales organizations and channels for storage and infrastructure software products, most recently as vice president of worldwide sales for VeloBit, an SSD caching and VDI storage optimization provider. Prior to VeloBit, he was vice president of North American sales for AVG Technologies, with overall responsibility for the company’s SMB business. Mike joined AVG from CA Technologies, where he was vice president of channels and drove $75M in annual recovery management revenue through a channel of 3,300 VARs. He also served as vice president of worldwide sales and services for Core Security and vice president of worldwide sales for Winternals (acquired by Microsoft) and held roles at VERITAS, Seagate Software and Arcada.
Kelly Jones, Ph.D
Kelly Jones leads the engineering and development teams at Virtual Bridges where he is responsible for all aspects of the company’s software development from architecture and design to testing and ongoing enhancement. Jones has more than 25 years of experience, most recently managing Dell’s public vCloud Operations team, Cloud/SaaS Performance Engineering team, public and private OpenStack DevOps teams as well as the company’s solutions engineering team. He joined Dell via the acquisition of MessageOne, Inc. where he served as VP of Technology, and previously held leadership roles at Evergreen Assurance Inc., Computer Associates and PerotSystems. Jones holds a Ph.D in Learning Theory from Texas A&M University.
As the vice president of corporate development and strategic alliances, Bradley Sanford is responsible for global new market development and eco-system alliances of Virtual Bridges products and solutions. Bradley brings a wealth of thought leadership around consumerization and user experience focused on large enterprise implementations. Bradley has spent over 15 years in enterprise IT organizations successfully directing and managing large, complex IT project teams through vision, leadership and dedication. Bradley is experienced in strategic planning and execution in rapidly changing business environments. Prior to joining, he spent nearly 14 years at Dell in various leadership roles from software development, business operations, audit, and emerging technology strategy. Previously, Bradley worked at Interim IT and Continental Airlines as a web-based application developer where he designed and developed multiple reporting and workflow applications. Bradley received a B.B.A in Management Information Systems from Texas A&M University.
As the vice president of worldwide services, Jack Angelo is responsible for overseeing all services and support for Virtual Bridges. Jack brings more than 20 years of demonstrated success in systems consulting, business development, systems engineering and product marketing with a focus on major accounts on a worldwide basis. Prior to joining, Jack served as the vice president of network systems services at International Game Technologies where he built the companies professional services organization, reengineered its support program and implemented a company-wide knowledge management system. Prior to IGT, Jack served as the Vice President of Services for United Devices where he managed customer support and deployment for customers on a world-wide basis. And he also held key roles at Dell, IBM IGS, and AT&T Global Information Systems/NCR. Jack graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with an M.S. in Computer Science and Villanova University with a B.S. in Accounting.
Tanya White leads the marketing organization at Virtual Bridges, where she is responsible for delivering materials that help customers understand the power of VDI, assess our solutions, and create a path to a successful implementation. White has 15 years of experience in the tech industry, most recently managing the marketing activities for Observint Technologies, a Carlyle Group company, focused on the Security Industry. Prior to that, White worked at Dell, in her last role managing the marketing activities for their largest business unit supporting Higher Education Technology. Hailing from Canada, and having roles that spanned the globe, White brings a global flavor to the team’s marketing efforts and is passionate about creating messages that resonate with our target audience.
