Virtual Bridges has submitted a variety of presentations from our resident experts, and we’ve also submitted a really great panel discussion with Jon Senger, our chief-strategy officer and Cole Crawford, the executive director of the Open Compute Project Foundation, talking about the pace of innovation and how far OpenStack has come in such a short period of time.
We’ve summarized each talk below and provided a link to its page on the voting site to make things easier. Remember, while it is a community vote, you still have to be a registered member, which means you’ll need to login to OpenStack.org in order to have your vote counted.
If you like what you see in any or all of our presentations, please vote them up! We definitely appreciate your vote, and all of our speakers are excited and passionate about their individual topics.
We look forward to seeing you in Atlanta!

Mobility and BYOD in the Cloud: Moving Beyond IaaS
Rick Allen, Senior Solutions Architect, Virtual Bridges
Four years ago a top Google executive predicted the desktop would be irrelevant in 3. In fact the global desktop market is still increasing. It’s true that we can do more with our mobile devices and online services than anyone could imagine a decade ago and yet the traditional desktop is necessary to most businesses. Employees want BYOD, SaaS, Cloud data and excellent user experience with all of these. How do you allow use of these new technologies and provide access to legacy applications efficiently and securely? Increasingly companies are turning to server hosted virtual desktops. This session will discuss why this is true and how OpenStack can accelerate this trend.
